There's been a lot of talk lately on PH about protein and amino acids and their effects on health and longevity. A lot of the benefits of IF seem to be related to intermittent protein restriction leading to autophagy and some changes in biological signaling. In fact, a lot of the benefits seem similar in general to chronic protein restriction.
So the question is: what are your thoughts on alternative day protein fasting for those of us who don't handle IF too well? Maybe (being not an athlete or body builder in my case) getting 160 grams protein one day and aiming to keep it to like 20-30 grams the next day?
Is there another approach to achieve something similar? How close would the body's response to this be to actual fasting?
