Salk Fasting studies

Just published: a group of rats given a "high fat diet" but only eating food in an 8 hour period performed as well as "normally fed rats" without time restrictions, with equal calories.

The fasted rats out performed normally fed rats in exercise.

They characterized the high fat diet as 60% fat, like "eating Potato chips and ice cream for all your meals."

Does this rat study make you more interested in IF? Or does anyone have access to the full paper?

I am a little bit surprised by the results. Why would there be a difference in weight gain with equal calorie intake?

I watched some of their videos following your link. I find it amusing how their trying to find the magic "pill" that mimics all the benefits from fasting. I would like to tell them "I'll just fast then, but thanks for giving me the comfort of knowing I am doing something scientifiacaly proven to have so many benefits for free"

Meh, mouse study... and not really a surprising result (maybe it is if you're head is under a "conventional wisdom" rock).
