Intermittent Water Fasting

I've done a few 3-5 day fasts in the past but am looking into something more long term. This is mainly for weight loss and clear skin, which I usually achieve 5 pounds loss in 3 days, gaiming back half to a whole pound after the fast. I'm thinking about going like six weeks, fasting Sundays thru Thursdays and eating raw Fridays and Saturdays. I will be exercising 5-7 times weekly, mainly cardio and.circuit. I'm hoping for 5 pounds a week. Is this achievable?

Do you realize what Paleo/Primal is? I mean that seriously, not in a snarky way. This is a forum about diet/exercise, but this is not something any Paleo/Primal eater would ever espouse. It doesn't sound healthy, and possibly even dangerous, if only that your relationship with your food and weight is that skewed. I second Syrahna's suggestion to browse or even ask another question about a way to reach your goals that would be healthier and less extreme.

Wow, that plan sounds really unhealthy and potentially dangerous.

Having a goal of losing 5 pounds per week is really not achievable in a safe manner. 1-2 pounds a week of weight loss is much more realistic. "Eating raw" is also not really paleo - are you talking about eating raw meat? Or just vegetables? Animal proteins and fats are an essential part of the paleo diet, which is not compatible with the raw vegan plan.

Regarding your workout, you might want to do some reading about "chronic cardio." Not a good thing.

What you are describing is about as un-paleo as you can get. It's not a healthy weight loss on a few different levels. Hopefully someone more technically inclined will come in here and explain to you why - but in the meantime, why not read up on some of the lifestyle questions in here and consider if there's a better and gentler way to lose weight and improve your skin?
