Intermittent Fasting and tea?

Just a basic question- am I allowed to have tea during my IF? I'm talking about straight from the tea bag/ loose tea leaves-not packaged nastiness.

Good luck - let me know how you do! I am switching things up to lose some weight right now too.

Are you IFing for weight loss or following Lean Gains? You should know pretty soon if it affects weight loss, because the weight seems to fall off of me when I IF and eat high fat low carb, and it had never been affected by tea, so hopefully it is the same for you!

Perfect! Thank you! It doesn't not make me feel any different than if I were to be drinking water. I make a point to drink 3 liters of water/ tea (unsweetened obviously) per day. I hope this is okay while I am IFing!

A number of people seem to have tea or coffee when IFing without a problem, even when adding cream or coconut oil. I don't think it should be a problem - give it a try and see how you feel. I don't have tea often, but sometimes I do have it in the mornings plain (I IF too) and it never changes anything, I usually feel the same.
