How much cinnamon is to much? How sensitive, is to sensitive for insulin?

Hey,

Decided to take cinnamon capsules to increase insulin sensitivity.

I wondered:

How much cinnamon is the right amount, how much is to much?

Full study here: http://care.diabetesjournals.org/content/26/12/3215.full "At the levels tested, there was no evidence of a dose response because the response to all three levels of cinnamon was similar" So, no, at least from that study, there's no benefit to additional over 1 gram. Honestly, I recommend just getting your cinnamon in food directly. Love me some cinnamon :)

Thanks, any idea if 3 or 6 grams was more beneficial than 1 gram.

"The study was made up of 60 people with Type 2 diabetes who were divided into 6 groups of 10. Three groups received cinnamon in the form of capsules totaling 1, 3 or 6 grams of cinnamon a day. The other three groups received placebo capsules. The capsules were taken three times a day, after meals. All three levels of cinnamon showed results, leading researchers to believe that as little as 1 gram a day of cinnamon may benefit people who have Type 2."
