Has any one study found both a reduced rate of disease (cancer, cvd, etc.) AND improved insulin sensitivity?

I was reading a post on this website by Stephen Ross called "the ultimate hack" that included a number of studies linking poor insulin sensitivity to various health conditions.

Now I'm wondering how related insulin sensitivity is to conditions like cancer and cardiovascular disease. I would think strong evidence of this would be a study where the risk of one of those diseases was reduced and insulin sensitivity was also improved.

Does anyone know of a (ideally randomized & controlled) study where this happened?
