""The latest weapon in the U.N.'s fight against hunger, global warming and pollution might be flying by you right now.

Edible insects are being promoted as a low-fat, high-protein food for people, pets and livestock. According to the U.N., they come with appetizing side benefits: Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and livestock pollution, creating jobs in developing countries and feeding the millions of hungry people in the world.""

Do you believe insects will ever become a significant food source in the West?

I was brought up not to eat raw animal food. Think I avoid sushi?

I do think so. The farther away from nature our industrialized system tries to take us, the more people will wake up and realize the need to eat naturally. Insects have been eaten by people throughout history and will continue to do so.

Don't think so. Morals play a great part on what we eat or not. And I don't see the western civilization eating "pests" anytime soon.
