I've been paleo for the past 3 days and I felt like I was starting to settle yesterday.... But today I can't stop eating! I ate easily 2000 calories yesterday (doing little exercise) and today I've had 4 scrambled eggs, 2 rashers and onions, broccoli, 2 handfuls of hazelnuts and 2 squares of dark chocolate...and I still want more :O I'm 5ft 5, female, 18 and weigh roughly 175lbs, should be 145 (muscular). I just feel like raiding supermarket aisles and gobbling down a tonne of food :O

Beans are filling and are more paleo than sweetened chocolate.

To be honest, 2000 calories isn't all that much even for a women and if you're trying to lose weight. Give your body some time to adjust, you might be craving high carb foods still? When i feel like that i usually add a generous amount of butter (kerrygold) to my next meal or some feta cheese (SCD here). I find fat really satiates me :) And try adding a ton of veg, you won't be bloated but you'll feel fuller.

If your diet is becoming lower carb than it used to be, you probably will feel hungry for two weeks while your body learns to burn fat. That can be part of the territory and you may have to tough it out. Just make sure you are not cutting calories much at first while your body adjusts. 2000 calories in a day is fine.

Make sure you're eating some good quality dense carbs like sweet potatoes, yams, winter squashes etc along with some high quality fats like coconut butter, ghee, avocados etc. lots of people starting out end up doing something coined as the Faileo Diet which could be a reason you're so hungry. It means your body is missing something and therefore craving it. A salad probably won't satiate you even with some meat added. Try avocado or a scoop of coconut butter. I also found added more salt to my food and drinking enough water helped regulate my appetite. Kombucha also squashes any kind of hunger pang in a pinch.

You can track your macros with something like cronometer and see if you're missing anything else.

Good luck!

Have you been drinking 8 glasses of water daily? If yes then I wouldn't worry about it, feed your body what it needs and it will settle down. I have a tendency to eat larger portions and smaller portions in waves.
