I see your other previous question now. Worth a try: turmeric and black pepper. Make a tasty curry!

I needed ibuprophen every day before eliminating wheat and other grains from my diet. Now the pain is GONE. I no longer need ibuprophen. On the rare occasion I "cheat" even a little wheat will restore my body aches and pain.

The only exception I make now for ibuprophen is menstrual cramps, but those are rarely painful anymore either.

I usually use tumeric when I have a lot of inflammation. But hey, I don't knock having to use NSAIDs- sometimes I need them to get out of bed, and in the very short-term that is helpful for me.

Nah, I avoid ibuprofen and other NSAID's for the increased risk of intestinal permiability (see links below). Paleo helped my guts feel good again, so now I really appreciate them and try to give them lots of love and care. I do take an aspirin when I get a migraine though, about once a year at this point.

Turmeric + black pepper and I drink lots of home made bone broth - this seems do do great things for me and my family re inflammation. The pepper increases the effectiveness of the Turmeric greatly.

Aspirin is my first line answer to pain/inflammation. Ibuprofen is the backup. That covers 90%+ of all problems. Wish Ketoprofen was still around, that stuff was awesome.

I have been trying to cut out my use of ibuprofen. I have had upper back problems and major arthritis all my life and 2 years ago fractured my lower back so I haven't been able to avoid it completely.

Anyone use more natural alternatives to control inflammation? Fish oil, etc?

I usually don't have a need to use IBU any more. Used to have migraines about once a month but now the only time I get them is if I have accidentally gotten glutenated. Even then, I tend to procrastinate doing something about it (because I am usually curled up into a little ball) and so it often gets worse. I know I shouldn't take it, but IBU is usually the only thing short of narcotics that will make the migraine go away.
