Improved reflexes from Paleo?

I've been eating this way for a few months now, and I've noticed an improvement in both reflexes and hand-eye coordination. Reaction time and coordination are both way up (not that they were particularly bad before). Has anyone experienced improved reflexes and/or hand-eye coordination after switching to paleo?

I'm thinking something along the same lines- I eat salmon or mackerel almost every day for lunch, and eat a lot of omega-3 eggs.

Not so much for me, although I am more active - and by extension that has helped my reflexes and "environmental awareness". In other words, because I'm less of a couch potato, I'm also less of an oaf.

I wonder if having more omega-3 (or better omega 3:6 ratio) has contributed, assuming that's been an effect of your diet. At AHS 2011 Seth Roberts presented his extensive n=1; he found that taking a lot of flax-seed oil improved his motor skills and speculated athletes would benefit... http://vimeo.com/28385995 http://www.slideshare.net/ancestralhealth/ahs-slidesseth-roberts

There'd be potential for other vitamins/minerals/removal of toxins to improve function to some extent, but you'll never get to the bottom of it!

No more than the standard mental-fog clearing many paleo-primal adopters seem to have. I always had excellent reflexes. But I did have my flexibility improve to what it was when I was in high school.

Could be. Wheat does tend to cause brain fog in some, so it would make sense that it would affect the entire nervous system.

I've not noticed it.

Hard to say really, I'm just so much faster all round than I used to be.

Now that you mention it, yes.
