half the week (thu-sun) i work from about 5pm to midnight (restaurant shift). there is a staff meal time around 6-630pm. i find if i eat too much, i will be tired and sluggish during the shift. does anyone have any ideas on how to do IF on those days? i have to eat everyday, so Eat Stop Eat is not an option. usually i skip breakfast anyway, and eat 2-3 meals between noon and 630pm, but i'd like to try a leangains approach.

I only recommend IF if you have everything else already working for you. But your work schedule is an ideal one for some IF. On workdays, when you get up, have a big breakfast and a pretty big lunch. That's it. Go to work, go home, get some sleep and start over. You'll probably have a slightly longer than the recommended 16 hour fast, but really it doesn't matter that much.
