IF and have a test at noon

okay so I did some poor planning here but I have a huge exam (NMLS, to become a licensed mortgage originator) tomorrow at NOON. I have been Intermittent Fasting for the past year (I have maybe eat before noon 4-5 times in the past year). I usually have a cup of BP coffee at 9-10AM to get me through the fast...

I am scared to eat a full breakfast before my test... any suggestions..i was thinking something light like 2-3 eggs, some pastured sausage over mixed greens or i could just have my usual BP coffee a little later in the morning and then a huge scoop of coconut oil...

or i could put double the kerry gold in the coffee

i dont want to get distracted during the test because I am hungry, or lethargic due to change in eating habits.

why are you so scared to eat breakfast? Your entire existence b4 starting I.F. prolly consisted of eating breaky shortly after waking. Dont sweat it :) eat some breaky, do you test and worry about IF'ing another day. Youre not gonna undo an entire year of IFing from deviating from the plan for one day. Even Martin Berkham from leangains doesnt discourage eating a small meal- he says it all depends on a persons schedule.

don't do it! 100% of people who eat breakfast will die....plenty of very credible studies have evidence for this!

but seriously eat breakfast, or at least brunch. I used to be a huge IF, like 18-20 hours everyday..I would always lie to myself and tell myself i wasn't hungry when i really was. Now I eat a very small high fat/protein brunch about 2 hrs after waking everyday. It seems to really help.

just keep it very small and high in fat and protein and you'll be fine..maybe even better off.

Life isn't consistent. The way you prepare for it doesn't need to be, either. If you feel right now you're compromising your abilities with IF take a break. Handle what's in front of you first, always.

To let you know, it won't always be this way. After a bit you'll be adapted and your performance won't suffer from IF. But, your test is now , not then.

It's no big deal. You can return to your regimen the following day.

Presumably you've had to engage you mental faculties in the last year while 'IFing'. If you had problems in 'getting through the fast' perhaps should try eating something in the long run.

In the short term if you are uncertain of the effects of breakfast and or think you won't fell well then continue doing what you've been doing. Like I said, presumably you've had to use your mind while 'IFing' in the past...

eat breakfast, buddy. it won't kill you. it's ONE day. you need to be able to concentrate on your test and not be hungry.
