Perscript-Assist Questions

Hi I had previously made a post about how I am experiencing G.I. upsets after taking tetracycline for a year and a half for acne.

Someone recommended prescript-assist. I was wondering if people who suffer from IBS/G.I. upsets have had positive experiences with Perscript-Assist. It looks like a high quality product.

On their website the makers say that Perscript-Assist replenish gut flora unlike other probiotic supplements. I hope I can take this temporarily to get my gut flora back in balance. I'd like to take it for 4 -6 months and hopefully in that time it would replenish my gut flora.

Also I have read that Perscript-Assist could possibly become pathogenic inside the gut. The last thing I want is more G.I. problems.

Just looking for some feedback before I purchase, thanks!

I took it, didn't notice any improvement and I'm now back on VSL#3.

I took it for 3 months and didn't notice a thing one way or the other. Other people seem to have benefited though. You could always buy 1-2 month's worth and see if it helps. I seriously doubt it would hurt.

I did find noticeable benefit after 2 months of taking Theramedix DGX and CDX, and PRX. Along with another NSO that I think might have been made by Biotics? I took them all at once so who knows if it was one or all that made the difference.

As per the first answer above, I would suggest following what Mr. Kresser recommends. Very smart dude. I also wrote a post about soil based organism probiotics. Within the post I do reference Chris Kresser. It does not look like this type of probiotic is dangerous.

I think the warnings against SBOs are largely unsubstantiated. Here's a good rebuttal: http://chriskresserlac-shopify.helpjuice.com/questions/47699-Prescript-Assist-and

I tried prescript assist- cant remember how long I took it for- it was this year though and I finished the bottle. didn't hurt but didn't make a difference either. kind of like taking a placebo.
