Just saw this article on Science Daily - this is great confirmation for SIBO:
I'm getting tested on June 5th. How many people have gone through this regimen, and has it worked for you? I'm really excited that it's finally hitting the major journals and doctors will finally know more. I recently asked my gastro doc to run this test, and he had never heard of it (despite being a prominent specialist). I had to find someone about 2 hours away that knew at least a little about the test, and they agreed to do it.

I was tested for SIBO last August and was found to have it. I chose to go with herbal antibiotics and a GAPS/Paleo diet protocol (similar to this; more details here) and I have had GREAT results. Within 1-2 months, my intestinal health improved drastically and now, after 9 months, my food tolerance is a lot better. I used to not be able to eat any carbs at all, even most vegetables, and survived on an almost all meat/fat diet with 1/4-1/2 cup of veggies with my meal. Now, I can eat all the veggies I can and can even manage some dairy, a bit of sugar, nuts and coconut flour once in a while without any unpleasant symptoms! Good luck!
