Fluctuating Thyroid Hormones, will Paleo help?

I have a fluctuation in TSH, although my doctor is ignoring my previous results and saying "one high result doesn't mean you have Hypothyroidism". Ok, but what if it swings from 1.5 to 4.7 and back to 1 something again? My TPO was low at 9, and my FT3 and FT4 were mid-range normal, but I have many symptoms. I know that other autoimmune diseases can cause symptoms, but thyroid dysfunction runs in my family. Until the TSH stays high (or goes back down consistently), should I try to use the Paleo Diet to reduce symptoms, as I have read others have done? I am not insisting that my doctor tell me I am hypothyroid... I just want some suggestions if it takes longer to truly become obvious.

Low carb often increases cortisol. You'll find many experiences of people who got hypothyroidism from low carb.
