Are there any paleo cruises?

I know there is a low-carb cruise, but is there a paleo cruise? It would be really cool to go on a cruise that features different paleo/ primal meal options, like a strict Whole9 buffet section, a "safe starch" section, and maybe like a GAPS buffet (sans khakis). Lots of activities would be cool, too. A climbing wall, maybe a bear-hunting ranch... Cruises do cause a lot of pollution and trash, I hear, but is a paleo cruise feasible, maybe a few times a year?

If so, what would your fantasy paleo cruise entail?

The MovNat seminars are pretty close, but you are really roughing it.

I agree. I was trying to propose something similar as a rally but there wasn't much interest. Doing it at a lodge in New Mexico or Colorado or some place like that would be super sweet. Just don't call it a rally. That confuses people. ;-)

Paleo can be part of the low-carb model, but it isn't by default. One can get plenty of carbs from roots, tubers, and fruit.

I would enjoy a "build-your-own Big-A**-Salad" buffet. Organic veg, homemade dressings, seafood or meats for topping. Dancing to Fever-Ray, yes!

I've been thinking how cool it would be to have a Paleo summer camp. Like a lodge in the middle of nowhere where you could just be all Paleo for a week with good food, movement/exercise workshops, lectures, and such.

FWIW, I think Mark Sisson's Primal Weekend in April comes closest as of now. It ain't no cruise, but it is near the beach! :)

Paleo is actually included as part of the Low carb model (from which it sprang and of which there are many models)..much to the distaste of many I am sure :)

It would do a lot more for society as a whole if these healthier models of eating and life style were not constantly split into factions and arguments about "mine is better than yours"

My Paleo cruise would have both Paleo and Paleo-friendly options like gluten free booze and food for indulgences like Paleo pancakes and treats. I wouldn't have to worry about dairy contamination cuz it would all be well labeled and ghee would be optional for everything. There would be talks by Paleo people, workshops on diet, health and lifestyle, cooking demos, physically active games, Paleo comedy shows, and karaoke! Oh and def one of those slides into the pool. I've always wanted to slide down one of those. There would be something for the whole family!
