This, for me, is such a great answer. So specific and to the point. Thanks and I have copied this into my growing leptin file.

Okay. Thank you. I was getting discouraged with no weight loss... and hunger and constipation.. I have an auto immune disease (hashimotos/adrenal fatigue) should I stay away from sweet potatoes?

in that case keep under 50g of energy providing carbs (ie, fibre doesn't count) per day for the leptin reset. have most of the carbs in the morning. have plenty of veges and maybe a small sweet potato or two with plenty of coconut oil smothered on it. it won't matter if you don't have carbs - don't get hung up on them, the number is a guideline. focus on meal timing and getting as much fat and protein as you can in the morning. when you start to wonder if it is really working, push through the pain and brace yourself for a surprise. don't bother with yoghurt until you are leptin sensitive

I have about 20 to loose.. Is that net carbs or total carbs? Does anyone do Greek yogurt?

I use spinach to get magnesium in as I have heaps in the garden, I don't supplement Mg and I like the added benefits of spinach's interaction with eggs (choline + betaine... Chris Masterjohn writes why here http://www.westonaprice.org/blogs/why-is-my-cholesterol-so-high-on-this-diet.html). The Quilt's blog has all the low down here: http://jackkruse.com/the-leptin-rx-faqs/ and http://jackkruse.com/my-leptin-prescription/ My summary: Lots to lose... under 25g Under 30lb to lose... under 50g just skinny but other LR symptoms... under 100g

Okay, Thanks for the suggestions. I added 2 T coconut manna to breakfast today along with eggs, bacon and grass fed steak. We will see! Also, what are the correct carb counts! I keep seeing different numbers? Is it 50? or 25? or 25 NET carbs (Total carbs minus fiber?) HELP!

it will take time for the cravings to cease. when they cease it is a sign you are getting more LS.

eat more for breakfast. more red meat and more coconut oil. i find there is a sudden point between mouthfuls where i feel more than just replete, but stuffed. it is so sudden that i can be resting between mouthfuls and will feel a strong tightening/pressure on my cardiac sphincter. on days that i hit that mark, i can easily go ten hours without thinking about food.

in saying this, it did take me three weeks to wean myself off lunch. weeks 3 and 4 were miserable, extremely lethargic and irritable. i think i would have benefited from Mg and Vit D supplementation.

other things that helped me were green tea every couple of hours, spinach with breakfast (100g, spoonful of coconut oil with spices turmeric, cumin, black pepper).

i have a dessert after my breakfast... a bucket load (250g) of good quality coconut cream (mixed with generous amounts of cocoa, a pinch of cayenne, a pinch of salt, a dash of espresso, orange zest and ginger).

dinner only need be a modest helping of chicken or fish with a decent salad. if i'm still hungry i don't load up on protein, but will add more MCTs (coconut oil) and greens. too much longer chain sat fat in the evening had me waking up in the middle of the night with a pounding heart and sweats.

I feel the same when dinner rolls around. I especially want carbs. So I either eat a big ass meaty dinner and wait out the cravings, or have some blueberries and coconut milk as dessert. Eat if you're hungry. My apetite is slowly decreasing, so don't be scared, yours will too probably.
