I had a pretty big breakfast and four hours later, my stomach is rumbling as if it were hungry, yet I still feel full from breakfast. This has been happening a lot lately, and I'm so confused lol

How long have you been eating Paleo? When you say it has been happening a lot, for how long? I ask because this seems to be a common symptom for some people who just started (a couple of weeks). Also what did you eat for breakfast because some foods will just leave you wanting more (even something like oatmeal and I will be hungry 30-45 mins later)

Can you state what you had for breakfast and how soon you ate after waking up?

What did you have for breakfast? Your experience demonstrates there's more to being satiated than being full.

I experienced this last weekend when I ate out at a Japanese restaurant where I had a bowl of rice. I was physically full, but not satisfied, and when everything settled I was still hungry.

When I still feel full hours after eating, it means I haven't digested my food well enough, and it's passing slowly through my digestive tract. I don't get the tummy rumble, though, unless it's rumbling as it starts to move food through. I notice this lack of digestion most when I eat bulky, fibrous veggies, or too much starchy carb without fat.
