How much cooking fat per day

Seeing that animal fats like tallow and Lard are fairly nutrient poor(but still better than any plant based oil, unrefined or not), how much of them would be too much in a day for someone eating about 200 carbs per day

It's not how much cooking fat, it is how much gets taken in to what you eat. I run a sample of a days meal through paleotracker or cron o meter to see my % of fat, protein & carbs. I try to adjust accordingly.

I would concern yourself first with this question: Am I getting enough carbs and protein? (and hopefully not too much of either)

Second with this question: Are all my micronutrient needs/wants being met or exceeded daily/weekly? (sometimes we want more than just what's needed - it can be good)

Once you can say yes to both of those, don't worry about having too much healthy fat unless you can say yes to this third question: Am I getting, like, WAY too many calories each day?

TLDR: healthy fats really can't be bad for you unless you're obese and consuming far too much food. Am I wrong?
