Hi, I just received my multiple hormone saliva testing kit today. I ordered it online through Natural Health Direct (Australia) and it will be sent to Aquarian Industries Lab. I'm a 39 year old female and I've got two questions that I didn't consider when I ordered the test. On Sunday 26th of May I started taking Estelle ED35 birth control pill. I'm just taking it because I'm going on a holiday and want to stop my period. I'm only going to take it for about one month. Also, with the cortisol part, is it going to be very accurate or would it be more accurate to do a separate cortisol saliva test four times through the day for an accurate measure? I'm interested in choosing the following tests-
Low Sex Drive (Libido) Choose: Testosterone, Progesterone, DHEA, and Estradiol. (4 hormones)
PMS Choose: Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA, and Cortisol. (4 Hormones)

The cortisol test is usually only accurate by itself as a single saliva test. Also, if you're not on BC regularly and you have normal periods and hormonal functions without it, definitely wouldn't recommend you taking it for only a month. One of the worst things you can do to your natural cycle and your body is to take added hormones off and on, it can completely whack out your body-- trust, I'm working on fixing mine. If you do decide to do that once, you realllyyyyy shouldn't make it a habit unless you want to stay on it.

Dude! Totally do NOT take this test while you're taking those pills!
BC pills ARE hormones. They're forcing you to not have a period, so imagine how powerful that is.
It will waste your test results. I can't imagine why you'd want to take the test on them unless you want to see where the pill would 'hit' you. In that case, don't do the test until you've been on the pills for over 1 week. Let them build up.
Same is you 'miss a pill' when you normally take them, you aren't to have unprotected sex for 7 days to let the hormone readjust.
Again, if you want to test 'your' hormones, sans pill, then wait til the next month. Unless you have unlimited funds and don't mind wasting the test.
