Hormone blood test

Hello all,

I am sure this has been asked here before, but I can't seem to find it... I am getting a full women's hormone panel done and just wondering when is the best time of the month for the test? I have read 4-5 days after the end of the cycle. Does this sound right?

Many thanks.

I think it depends on which hormones you're specifically looking for.

I had a huge workup done about 2 years ago and I think I collected the sample (24-hour urine collection) on day 21 of my cycle. It wasn't supposed to be a specific day, though. I had to get an ovulation tester and collect the sample one week after ovulation. (I was completely irregular at that time so that's why I needed to use the testers. Some women can actually feel when they ovulate, or so I've been told. Not me!)

Good luck with the testing. Mine revealed a lot of things I had suspected, but it was reassuring to see the actual numbers and know there was something I could do to help myself.
