Hives after Chicken Broth

I have been gluten free for over a year, and Paleo for one month (with the exception of a little bit of cheese throughout each week). Two days ago I made a big batch of chicken soup/broth, using 1 "Natural Chicken" (not organic, but no hormones or antibiotics, etc.), 1 bunch of organic celery, 1 bag of organic carrots, 2 large onions, 2 T cilantro, 1 T oregano, 1 T basil, 2 T pink Himalayan salt, 1 t pepper. Boiled, then lowered heat w/light boil for 3.5 hours. After drinking a large cup of broth (which was delicious, by the way), I broke out in hives all over my body, with the largest concentration on my lower back/hip area. It took 2 benadryl to lessen the itch. The hives were gone by morning. The next day (yesterday) I drank 1/2 cup of the broth (not realizing it may have caused the hives the day before), and within 20 minutes I was itching again with hives all over my body. I've never had an allergic reaction to any of the individual ingredients!! Could it be because I have been Paleo for a month, with a pretty clean diet, and then added the "clean" concentrated broth, and it caused a detox?
