I seem to have this problem where as many foods high in fat cause me this debilitating instant brain fog. These include lard, tallow, coconut oil, butter, and olive oil to a less extent,
The only fat foods that do not seem to cause this as bad are meat (unless I eat too much), flaxseed oil, and cheese(though I do have some lactose sensitivity so I prefer to minimize this).
I believe this to be a histamiine intolerance. Other than this debilitating brain fog, which varies, sometimes it is not that bad when I eat these things: seems to accumulate in my system if I eat them consistantly, also suggesting buildup of histamine. Overall other than the fog I feel great on the lower/medium carb and higher fat diet. When I try a high carb lower fat/meat diet my overall energy levels are not as good and I get fat.
I seem to be stuck in a conundrum here. What do people recommend I do to get over this histamine intolerance to fats (specifically preserved ones such as coconut oil/lard)? Thanks for the help.
