Eating Paleo and in Ketosis; Have to Clear My Throat Excessively During HIIT Session, Any Thoughts?

I eat paleo, LCHF and i'm in ketosis and I practice IF skipping breaky everyday, however I've always had the problem of having to excessively clear my throat due to my saliva thickening up (it's not mucus) whenever I do HIIT (sprinting up stairs) and it can definitely make the session a little more challenging to endure. I'm not so sure that it's lactic acid buildup as it starts happening after the first round and I can usually feel the lactic acid buildup in my mouth after the entire session, so I can tell the difference although it may be another degree of it i'm not sure, anybody have a clue? And how I can at least partially avoid this?

i was reading that excessive saliva can sometimes be due to high histamine, could be something for you to investigate further, to see if it may apply to you

Thanks for your answer, I usually drink enough water just before to maintain satiety, but maybe I will try drinking a bit more and report back with the results

Is it possible that you might not be hydrated enough before your workout? I notice the same thing happens when I'm doing HIIT, or really any cardio (stuff that gets me breathing heavily). I notice the more water I drink, the less of an issue I tend to have. Dry mouth is a problem for me! I hope this helps!
