Eating after HIIT?

Today I am having a low carb day, <50g, because I haven't done any resistance training. I have however just been running for 15 mins in a HIIT routine.

I am hoping being a low carb day and just having done the exercise, my body will burn some fat for the rest of the evening and night. Or will it be counterproductive for my muscle gaining goals?

Would you recommend I eat a snack now, high carb or low carb? Or should I fast until breakfast tomorrow?

Hope this makes sense! Thanks.

Unless you're aiming for ketosis, I see no harm in adding some extra carbs for your PWO-meal. If I'm correct, a little insulin-spike could help with recovery and growth - unless you're solely looking to burn as much fat as possible.

Eat normal at least that's what I would do... Maybe do a hash with sweet potatoes. You will want to eat within 30 minutes of completing your workout
