He says both high protein and carbs are bad and should instead follow a high fat, low protein, low carb diet.

Any comments?

I haven't seen this one before, thanks for posting it. As with every fad diet there's a book, heavy dependence on supplements, a very restrictive food list, and lots of fawning reviews.

I look at my protein consumption over a week and roughly shoot for a daily average of 1 gram per lb of lean body mass. I don't worry about it much more than that. Then I shoot for low carbs (Personal choice) and then the rest is fat...

Totally depends upon activity fasting insulin and hs crp levels......this is about the only area me and him disagree......and I think Aubrey de gray will prove one us right in ten yrs when the human calorie restriction data come out. The primate ones have been a mixed bag

I also do the same as what Rosedale recommends. So, I am about 60kgs, 5.8 and have around 50-55 grams of protein a day.. chichen the size of a deck of cards is about 15 grams, low carb, high fat. It works. When someone is sick you see just how well it works, Rosedale has nailed it with the correct equation which he has stood by for 20 years.. and science and studies just keeps proving and supporting his science. For optimal health is it is the only way to go.

For someone who is 146lb and 5'7, that's less than 51g of protein (rosendale uses .75g of protein per lb of muscle). A 12oz strip steak contains over 100g of protein! So that leaves butter, oil, nuts, and animal fats as part of the main diet.
