Has anyone experienced high cortisol levels before?
I had a saliva cortisol test done and it came back as high at every time (8am, 12pm, 4pm, 8pm).
My doc thinks it is my adrenal glands and possibly a Pyroluria problem.
I've read that chronic infection could be a source too.
Any info, ideas, thoughts, advice, etc. is appreciated!

@ozbuck I'm on a mix of synthetic T3/T4, just got to lower my dose because I lost 20lbs, and my current dosage was pushing my hyper. I'm on low dose Naltrexone, and it's steadily lowering my thyroid antibodies. I'm on a B-12 supplement, a max B supplement, pregnenalone and DHEA, Vit D, and fish oil, plus the adrenal support supplement. And of course, eating paleo.

@ozbuck I have high cortisol as part of my whole messed up thyroid/adrenal situation. I have a fantastic thyroid doc, so it's all being addressed. There are supplements that you can take that support adrenal health. I take the one my doc carries, but you might look for stuff with similar ingredients. http://www.holtraceuticals.com/categories/adrenal/adrenal-repair.html There's of course the common sense strategies of reducing stress and increasing low level exercise like walking and yoga. My cortisol is gradually going down, so something is working!
