Help! Should I eat this for lunch on a paleo diet?

  1. At my school, there is like almost nothing at the school cafeteria that is "Paleo Approved". Probably the closest thing to "Paleo" are chicken tenders, Fried Chicken, chicken patties (without the wheat buns), Salads with low fat Caesar/ranch dressings, Turkey/Ham sandwiches with whole wheat bread, baby carrots (probably the only thing Paleo) and PB and J's. What should I eat?

Go shopping with your parents, or by yourself if you're old enough. Buy steak, liver, eggs, veggies, spices, coconut oil, butter, etc. Learn to cook them. Get a nice 2 cup pyrex container, steel water container, and a lunch box. Bring your own fork, napkins, your food. It's not that hard.

Buy some Olive Oil, Vinegar and a small bottle or container and mix up your own dressing. Toss in some spices if you need it or a shot of Dijon Mustard. Take with you to eat.

Plus one for homemade lunches, but if you can't (why not?) then eat the meat without bread or breading, salad and veggies, and bring some olive oil dressing from home.

It's a good experience for you to plan and prepare your own lunches. Ask the parent who cooks at home if they will make extra for you to take for lunch or buy Paleo type foods for you to take. Be kind to the environment by carrying your food in a reusable container. And enjoy the curiosity and begging from your friends since your lunches are going to look a whole lot better than the school lunches.

Fried Chicken, chicken patties (without the wheat buns), Salads with low fat Caesar/ranch dressings, Turkey/Ham sandwiches with whole wheat bread, baby carrots.

Remove skin from chicken, salad, turkey/ham no bread, carrots.
