Anyone else find it impossible to sprint the last couple weeks outside?

I live in Chicago and the weather has been so hot and humid the last couple of weeks that I'm missing my sprint workouts so that I don't kill myself. I usually do Tabata sprints once a week. even at 5 a.m. its about 89 degrees with high humidity. Anyone know of a good indoor substitute without a treadmill or elliptical?

I treat running as a seasonal sport - spring and fall only. Though its getting down to the 60s soon and I'll probably go for a run then.

I use my perceived rate of exertion rather than pace, so what feels like a sprint today (I'm in CT and it's 90+ and super humid today) might be a crawl in Oct. I also find I need to walk between sprints instead of slow to a jog. I'm not a fan of the treadmill or elliptical, so had to find a way to make it work outside. Oh - and don't forget to hydrate.
