HORRIBLE detox - can anything make it better?

I am on day 6 of strict Paleo for Hashimoto's Disease - my doctor suggested it. Paleo plus no nightshades and no goiterogenic foods. I am having TERRIBLE detox. I spent 3 days throwing up. I'm on my feet today but still feel awful. I'm having terrible nightsweats, feel feverish sometimes during the day. I'm 50 so I have 5 decades of bad eating to correct. Has anyone else had this and what helped make it bearable?

I should also add, I am not about to stop Paleo even though I feel like dirt. The swelling in my hands, feet and face is gone. The joint & muscle pain is 50% better. My sinus swelling is gone & draining normally. I've lost 9 lbs (but that might be from 3 days of throwing up). The dark, dark circles around my eyes are starting to lighten up.

Oftentimes, nightsweats = going hypoglycemic at night. You want some proteins that will take a while to digest before you go to sleep. Or wake up in the middle of the night and eat something, then go back to sleep. Other than that, drink a lot of water, look into more safe starches like sweet potatoes, and take a look at the low carb flu threads for info.
