Can Paleo help alopecia brought on by adverse reaction to Gardisal Vaccination?

My daughter started losing hair slowly 2 months after getting the gardisal vaccination. Her initial blood tests came back clean, but I've a gut feel the vaccination and aluminum in it started her hair loss. Can Paleo help with this at all?

Fish and shellfish are EXCELLENT sources of minerals, iodine, and fat soluble activators that will help her on all fronts. There really isn't anything in ruminant meat that you can't get from shellfish or cod or fish liver oil. Either buy or make some of your own ghee for cooking too. A two month delay in reaction to the vaccination? Meh. I don't buy it.

I developed alopecia about two years ago when I was dabbling in raw veganism. What does your daughter eat? I hadn't picked up meat-eating/paleo 'til early this year, and that's when my hair started growing back in full. I tried taking biotin and went to a dermatologist for monthly cortisone injections. Neither helped; eating paleo did. But that's just my personal experience.

I can't comment on whether the vaccine caused this issue but alopecia is often associated with your thyroid tanking. If you suspect your daughter is suffering from auto-immune issues Robb Wolf's autoimmune protocol or terry wahl's diet may help (don't do terry wahls if hashimotos hasn't been ruled Out, too much iodine.). Whether you choose to have her try a healing diet or not, I would suggest insisting on a full thyroid panel, not just tsh.

I personally think paleo is great for everyone, sick or not, but I'm clearly biased.

Can you tell me what you experienced with alopecia and whether any tests you did led you to the meat-eating pale solution? My daughter does no red meat, but pretty much eats everything else - relatively healthy. Thanks.
