What do you think of this idea to support PaleoHacks?

The amazon hack got me thinking. I love PaleoHacks and want to support it. Judging by some of the ads being shown I doubt that PH is making that much money off them.

How about creating a Amazon Product page on PH where we buy the products through PH? Amazon offers a referral bonus and I'd be happy to purchase my paleo items this way so PH gets a cut.

Thoughts?

I am not sure but I am fairly certain they aren't hosting the new ads for fun. I like this as it is a annoyance free way to make money and will also help new users find good paleo products on Amazon.

Or stuff like cookware, minimalist shoes, hunting gear, standing desks, supps, books - Oh I could go on and on! (Great idea, btw) Even a paypal donate button and an annual fundraiser. Anything to get these ads outta here!

I've got no problem with that. I gotten a lot of value out of this site and would be happy to buy stuff this way, especially if it was Paleo food.

This is a great idea. Very easy to do and I would support it. Basically you would access the site through Paleohacks and a small portion of the purchase price would go to the site. Wonderful idea.

Some referral links and maybe an occasional Chip In would keep PH funded I think. Avoiding the random ads for sugared cereal and Paula Dean restaurants...

In theory, I'm all for it. But is Paleohacks a nonprofit? I think credibility issues will pop up unless there is some level of transparency and a way to ensure that the money goes to operating costs. Doe Paleohacks operators want this potential headache?

They really should come out w/ an ebook on kindle and PDF download. I know it would be an instant success.

Customers are happy to pay for free content if you organize it for them and make it available for their devices. Also it will give you the warm and fuzzy of supporting their work

Maybe a community built recipe book? I know I would love to contribute to that. Especially for BBQ and venison.

I'm happy to purchase amazon products as well. It's a good idea also.

I think its a good idea, but I'd like to add that I personally would like to see an iHerb referral code. I'm not a fan of amazon as I'm from Europe and shipping costs tons. iHerb, on the other hand, has amazing deals for me, and I'd be happy to see a percentage of my money go to this website.

I once thought it'd might be a good idea to just share iHerb referral codes here, as I realize some people on here are on a budget and could use the money.
