After lots of experimenting I've found that the diet that works best for me is around 1-1.5 cups of white rice(dry measurement) with plenty of vegetables, fruits, meat/eggs, and lots of fermented dairy, but not a lot of oil (because oil is a calorie dilute, and the white rice plus oil might mean I wouldn't be hitting my nutrient needs). I easily hit all of my nutrient needs everyday, but I notice that the general consensus here has shifted from "brown rice has too many (insert grain phytochemical/other here) so choose white rice" to "every single study ever run on grains has shown that whole grains promote (insert reduction of multiple diseases here) and refined grains cause (insert long slew of blood sugar and cardiovascular related diseases here)". So would I benefit at all from having the same amount of grains, but in whole grain form (obviously no wheat, I coundnt even eat wheat before I went paleo)?
