How to avoid GMO as the spread of the seed is continuing to get into animal feed

I'm becoming increasingly concerned about the notion that even organic meat will be tainted with GMO ingested animal feed. Take a look at this article and how Whole Foods has now even caved in to the big corps.

Sorry, I read the date off the quote at the top. btw - I avoid Whole Foods as much as possible. The lack of labels is crazy and the ads on TV are made to confuse people on what way to vote.

How about not eating factory farmed meat? Grassfed meat gets fed hay, then silage, before they resort to small amounts of feed (very occasionally, largely they don't need it). Chickens unfortunately do need a little more, even when free range, they usually get some supplementary in winter. So I guess you could swap chickens for game meats, if you were worried? Small amounts of GM, probably aren't going to hurt ya, otherwise folks would be falling ill all over the show.

I know it's all about the $$ - no doubt there. This article was written last June. I just find it increasingly disturbing the big guys are trying to prevent us from having a choice on what we feed ourselves and children. Looks like CA will try to pass required GMO labeling again. Hopefully this time it passes!

Three year old article. Did you ever doubt that money talks and big corporations will do what it takes to drive profits and keep shareholders happy.
