2 days ago I surfed for 5 hours, which is a long time this time of year (thick wetsuit and gloves). Yesterday morning I woke up and had 8 eggs for breakfast then went and surfed till outright exhaustion again (I do this a lot, I'm dumb). When I got out I was absolutely starving so I decided to have a bit of a cheat meal at the nearest grocery, rather than wait to get home and cook. I bought a box of raisins and a bag of Pork Rinds. Generally neither of these sit great with me, but I do ok. I got home and binged on the rest of these and some bacon. I immediately started feeling bad and an hour after eating I passed out cold for an hour. I spent the next 4 hours glued to either the toilet or the floor. I then laid in bed for 3 hours under 4 blankets with a beanie on, dealing with the chills till I finally fell asleep. Today I have extreme muscle weakness and achiness, particularly in the lower back/glutes. I also feel like I could puke today.
Seems like a gluten exposure? Never been anywhere near this bad before when I accidently came across some though.

Sounds like a couple times when I had food poisoning!
Hope you're better soon.

Actually sounds more like the flu to me. Likely brought on by over exertion with the surfing.

After a heavy rain with lots of runoff, leading Los Angeles surf instructors stay out of the ocean for a day or two, due to all the toxics that run into the ocean. Lawn chemicals being major. The days of "clean" oceans: behind us, for sure. Will they ever be clean again? Maybe, if we change our ways very big time.

Ok,so this has just about completely run its course and I was hoping if I provided the rest of the story we might be able to determine whether it was food poisoning, E. Coli, the flu, gluten, or something else. Appreciate any help.
So as mentioned Thursday I ate the food after the exhaustion of exercise that morning and the day prior. Upon looking back on the Pork Rinds package, I noticed it said it is cooked in a facility that cooks wheat. I shouldn't have bought these. I almost immediately felt bad with indigestion (raisins and pork rinds usually don't sit great, but not this bad). I passed out for an hour, after that I spent the night on the toilet. Then I had bad chills till I fell asleep.
Friday the Chills were gone, but my muscles were very weak and I was very very achy all over, worse in the lower back/glutes area. Also everything I ate including water went through me very quickly. Couldn't stand for more than 10-15 minutes at a time.
Saturday The Aches were gone but I was still very weak and everything including water still shooting right through me. Saturday night after a very minor meal I was worrying my digestion is getting worse.
Sunday morning the weakness is a little better, but my digestion was still very bad or worse and I was worrying about dehydration as water was not staying in me. I do some more reading on here (thanks again for all the great info) and find a recommendation for probiotics. I decided to give it a try. I decided to take a triple dose at first. It's rare in my experience for medicine to have any noticeable affects, or if they do it's very slight and /or takes awhile to take affect. The probiotics worked like one of the most potent medicines I have ever taken. Within an hour my stomach was calming down, the water I drank with them was staying in me, and my appetite was normalizing. I popped another probiotic, and soon I was starving. I tried coconut water with another probiotic, I was good. Then some vegetable soup that sat fine for the first time in days. An hour after that I satisfied my hunger with bacon and plantains (and a couple more probiotics). My stomach has been grumbling a little bit, but I saw 90%+ relief of symptoms within 6 or 8 hours. Wow.
The paleo community and this forum are awesome, who knows how long my stomach would have been messed up for, it was showing no signs of getting better, I thought worse!
Any more insights on what was wrong with me? I never puked nor had a legitimately strong urge to do so, never had any sinus issues, or coughing. I lean towards gluten (or food poisoning) because it was immediately after eating, but last time I had a gluten exposure through some malt vinegar I had a vicious sinus headache for 3 days, completely different symptoms.
