Eating seitan by mistake

I had a peace of seitan this evening by mistake. Is there anything I can do to lessen the damage couple of hours later?

No big problems the day after - probably because I stopped worrying about it :)

Are you gluten intolerant or do you have celiac? If not, don't worry, it was just one piece. Mistakes will happen and I think it's best to just move on and not fret over minutia.

Chill out a bit and take some fish oil to counter inflammation.

First off, how can you "accidentally" eat something? Did you inhale it?

Secondly, any person of average health can digest gluten. Just because it's not paleo doesn't mean it's gonna kill you. Adverse effects don't come from consuming something once, except if you are highly allergic to it - in which case you would have noticed.

Seeing that you are worried that something could happen after eating gluten, without suffering from an allergy or intolerance (which I'm just assuming because you didn't say otherwise) makes me doubt that you even understand the basics of nutrition. This is not a religion, and gluten is not a demon. Thinking in such a way is in it's own right worse than a bad diet.

If you are worried about blood sugar issues, vigorous exercise will help a little bit. Plus drink some water. But unless you are gluten intolerant, it's not worth worrying about too much.
