Overdosing ghee, possible side effects?

Hi hackers,

actually I'm allergic to dairy, but I figured out ghee is fine. I was so happy about it that I virtually drowned my food in it.

But now my hands are cold all the time and I feel really lethargic. Suppose it's not the traces of dairy protein - is it possible to overdose ghee (without heating it up and drinking it right from the jar)? Could the fatty acids somehow contribute to my fatigue? (ketone overproduction due to SCFAs, or hypervitaminosis, or so?)

Drop some of the ghee and add carbs in, if you can tolerate them.

It's not fatty acids causing your problem. You may not be eating enough.

Why would you want to OD on any macro? Ghee is great... in moderation. Use it to cook your food, but don't drown your food in it.

I too am allergic to dairy and tried ghee, but it definitely bothers me...I get a tiny bit hivey from it, which is a much milder case of what happens when I eat dairy.
