I've been on Paleo for about 6 months now and have generally avoided recipes that required ghee or any kind of buttery-taste because it's expensive, and didn't like the idea of spending $10 or more on something I may end up not liking and throwing away. I finally bit the bullet and purchased a jar of ghee, and as I suspected I hated it!! The texture, the taste.. especially the smell - it was nauseating and tasted nothing like butter. It might work ok in a recipe, but was hoping to find a butter substitute that I could use as a spread.
Any suggestions for a buttery taste that isn't ghee?
Best brand of ghee or ghee recipe you've used/made that tastes most like butter?
