in this case, IF stands for Intermittent Fasting.

which means different things to different people. there are many forms/versions of IF*

a common one is 16/8, ie. an eating 'window' of 8 hours & no eating for 16 hours.

*not only do eating window times vary, but also what you can consume in the "no eating" window, eg. some people may do coffee with mct &/or coconut oil

& another variation is, how many times you IF a week, for some this is their normal way of eating (IF daily, which could just mean no breakfast), others may only IF once or twice per week or month...

IF stands for intermittent fasting. Martin Berhan writes extensively on this. http://www.leangains.com/

Mark Sisson also has a bunch of useful articles on the subject: IF on Mark's Daily Apple
