Just ate grapes....sooo bloated, help!

So I just ate grapes for the first time in a while and I within 10 minutes became extremely bloated (after eating about 20-25)....any idea why? is it the sugar? I am not doing low-carb so I still eat fruit occasionally, so I didn't think they would bother this much!

Bloat 10 minutes after eating isn't from water retention, it's from gas. And fructose can definitely produce gas.

Candida. You fed the bad bugs and now they are having a party.

You might consider Saccharomyces boulardii to help eliminate the fungus.

Check out Fructose Malabsorption. It is a condition a lot of people have.

Possible IBS or fructose intolerance? How do you feel after eating other fruits - apples, watermelon or just a large amount of fruit in general? I have IBS and fructose intolerance and get bloated and gassy immediately after eating certain or large amounts of fruits. I follow a low Fodmap diet. May be worth checking out? Good luck!

It's probably the sugar. Carbs do encourage the retention of water, and this seems to be especially true of fructose, which grapes do have a lot of. Just wait a few hours (or so), and it'll probably go down. In the meantime though, try not to eat anything to carby
