convincing my mom that I can live without fruit

Lately I've been limiting my fruit intake due to carbs, and my mom's persuaded that it's unhealthy. Not saying that I'm cutting ALL fruit, just consuming much less of it. I eat veggies and organ meat, so I don't think I'm missing out on anything. What should I do to convince that you can be fine with no or much less fruit?

I think that sounds like a fair compromise. Shame tho, because I do love bananas and mangoes and pineapples :/ But if I don't eat sugar, don't crave it.

Disagree with sh*talker, more than 1-2 servings per day of fruits will definitely put extra weight and fat on me. YMMV, of course. When I was younger, in my 20's and even 30's, I could eat a couple of servings everyday and still stay fit. Now I limit myself to a couple of bananas per week.

I've been doing VLC high fat lately and I don't want the fructose to turn to triglycerides :/

Haha I think that's a good idea XD No i'm not a minor, but I still live with my parents (hey they need my help) and sometimes my mom treats me like I am still a minor :(

I definitely agree with CB but, if Mom can't agree to that then try a different approach. Find out why she doesn't want you to go without fruit and then show her that you get everything you need from what you eat. Is she worried about fiber? A specific vitamin? A specific health benefit? Show a list of what several veggies you eat contain vs several fruits. Often the veggies outweigh the fruit and contain more vitamins. And, good luck.

Show, don't tell. Go without whatever fruits you want to avoid for a time period you two can agree on, and wait and see what happens. If you wither away into a corpse or turn into a chimpanzee, compromise with her. (By the way, are you a minor?) If you feel fantastic, you have my meaningless permission to tell her "I told you so." I really hope the latter happens :)

Maybe if she insists, you can eat berries and sour apples, or lower fructose fruits, everyday. Oranges, bananas, mangos, and pineapple all seem to have too much fructose so keep your consumption of those fruits low.

WHYYYYY? You don't need to limit your fruits. You don't need to eat 100 servings a day but up to 5 won't hurt you at ALL and in fact keep your metabolism going strong. Don't cut out fruit.
