Do the readers here realize that a calorie is NOT just a calorie and that 'fruitarians' are not just getting sick from what they are NOT taking in, but from the excess of what they ARE taking in: fructose without enough fiber, there being a huge difference between fructose and glucose.

Yes, criticism of fructose is very common here. Though usually it's regarding juice or refined sugar, since you have to be pretty determined if you're going to stuff down enough whole fruit to get harmful quantities of fructose just from that. It's generally not an issue for paleo eaters.
