I am on autoimmune paleo for 4 mths now. Is applegate sliced ham ok in moderation since the pigs are not fed garbage but vegetarian fed?

After reading all about carrageenan in my most beloved organic products all I can say is CAREFULLY read the ingredient labels of EVERYTHING you buy (of course it's better if what you eat doesn't have a label!). Anyhow, I do buy some of their stuff but make sure you read the ingredients and don't get ANYTHING WITH carrageenan in it (which is also in Almond Breeze, so I'm pissed about that....)

I am more inclined to agree with you. Even though I feel fine after eating an applegate product, I have a lack of trust in certain areas. With my particular autoimmune disease, I can' take chances.

I don't particularly trust Applegate. Look at the sourcing for some of the items and be surprised that they are using beef from halfway around the world when we have sources in the USA. They are just another bigger producer motivated by profit, I prefer real local meats when possible.

Eat it and see how you feel.
