I've never seen white film on chicken liver until today. When I opened 2 packs of liver from grocery store I noticed something white on the top of each piece. I am not sure what it is, therefore I am in doubt if I should cook them. I hope it's only freezer burn, but they were packed in plastic containers...I've been eating chicken liver all my life, and never seen anything like that. Does anyone have an idea what it is?
