Unsolvable problem

About two years ago I started to experience this disgusting fishy taste when I burped, I do not take fish oil supplements or any medication apart from a probiotic and spirulina. The taste would continue for a long time and effect what I ate, how I felt, as it would be the warning signal for other symptoms to start occurring of diarrhoea, vomiting, bloating and nausea. I have always been extremely Heath conscious and a good eater, I rarely ever eat processed foods and if I do the only thing I have is dark chocolate. I have been this way for about eight years and almost my entire life. As the problem persisted doctors could not diagnose me, I did numerous blood tests (my iron levels were fine, my white cell count was too) tests for being gluten or lactose intolerant were negative. I had x rays of my stomach, I had collonoscopies and gastrophscopies done and nothing changed. After barely eating, (I had already been a vegetarian since I was 15 and began veganism and a gluten/lactose free diet) nothing had changed the taste would always come back sometimes once a week sometimes 50 times a day or more. A year later I went to a specialist in herbal practises and through a series of tests she said that I was gluten, lactose and a numerous amount of other fruits, vegetables, condiments, meats that I was intolerant to. For three months I did not have any of these products and I completely cured myself of all the problems, I also had allergies to grasses and pollens which I took immunisation needles for three years for every week, and that only cured up to 17% whereas the diet change cured everything. I no longer experienced the taste, nor the allergies until now. A year later and more stress related problems have entered my life (as did before and was a reason for doctors to believe why this occurred originally, for due to stressful events in the past my body had literally flipped its way of working to the point where I was vomiting diaoreha) now the taste has come back, I am still on the same diet, allergies are gone, but this taste still is here. I know this is an insane problem but doctors have never been able to cure me, maybe somebody else out there understands my situation. Pleae help if you can.

I started to experience a very distinct fish oil taste after burping exactly 3 days ago. Nothing in my diet has changed recently. The only thing that has changed in my life recently is my running (bumped it up to 6.5mi every other day) and an increase in work stress. This is the only relevant post I could find and sure enough it's on a paleo website. I wouldn't say I'm 100% paleo but I definitely lean that way. I have to say I think it may be something with the diet.

You take a blue-green algae supplement and you wonder why your burps smell like fish? If you don't like the taste get a burp-less algae supplement.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trimethylaminuria

This is a disease that is characterized by a "fishy" odor. There is no physical symptoms associated but it is the only thing I can think of that will produce this smell from a dietary source. Hope this helps!
