Paleo meal on the run IE:fast food

I know the optimal solution is hitting up whole foods and going to the salad bar or something, but as far as fast food goes, how problematic are the fast food chain chicken salads? As long as I only use a tiny amount of italian dressing

any other options? boston market seems decent-ish but for that price i could just go to whole foods

most of the fast food products have nasty fillers. Oddly enough, the generic, cheap hamburger patty at mcdonadls is all beef whereas their "angus quarter pounder" has wheat and MSG filler.

The chicken is mostly mechanically separated chicken that has been soaked in ammonia and then reformed into chicken patties with a bunch of additives.

If I am going fast food I stick to: plan salads (although supermarket salad bars are typically a better option; Chipotle, Pei Wei, or a plain burger with a lettuce wrap.

If I'm desperate I usually buy an Arby's roast beef sandwich and just eat the meat (ingredients: beef, water, salt, sodium phosphate). And I keep nuts and dried apricots in the car, so that is a balanced enough meal to get me home for something better. Another last resort option is the "grilled" nuggets at Chick Fil on the kids menu. But they do have msg and sugar in them.

Ditto on Chipotle -- I ask for double meat and 1/2 the rice, skip the tortilla.

Also most 5 Guys, if you have that chain nearby, will do a lettuce wrap on the burgers. So will Jake's Wayback burgers, although I don't think they're as good as 5 Guys.

Many Starbucks locations have a protein combo with a hard boiled egg, cheese, nuts & fruit, and a couple crackers that you can just toss.
