Occupy Big Food

I wondered if any of you are planning to support the activities of this or other, related organizations. Many local small farmers went to congress and testified against GMOs in December. I learned that Monsanto has been reported to grow GMO crops next to small farmer's non-GMO crops, then when they cross pollinate, they sue the farmer for "stealing" their patented product. I figure as a "paleo person" I need to work towards keeping our food sources clean. Does anyone know of other efforts (beyond purchasing products from our small farmers) to support these efforts?

That's why it takes multiple votes to close/reopen questions. If there are no more votes to close, it stays open.

How is asking how we can work against Monsanto against this forum's rules? Is it the "Occupy" word that makes you guys uncomfortable? I see plenty of who-haa-ing about GMO's and none of them are closed for being too political.

@Julie, you're missing the "no political questions" part.

ok, I guess. I thought "such things" were important to this group. And I wasn't putting it up for "discussion" I asked a question for information according to the PH guidelines. What am I missing here?

Sorry Julie, I'm not sure this is the place to discuss such things. While I'm here though, almost certainly the best thing for our food supply is to lead by example and make everyone you know jealous of your paleo powers.

Given that this site is all about ancestral health, I cannot imagine that GMOs have any place in a Paleo diet.
