I noticed that i frequently snack throughout the day which i know is not good. How do i get back in to the 3 meals a day rythm? I snack a lot but im never really satisfied.

Also, the heavy cream is crucial in my ability to maintain this type of schedule. And while there are calories not making it a true "fast" it certainly isn't having the effects carbs/protein would have: http://paleohacks.com/questions/150055/pros-of-starting-the-day-off-with-only-fat/150083#150083

My recommendation, if you want to get real crazy like me.. buy a glucose meter. If your glucose levels skyrocket after eating sweet potatos then you'll want to pass.

Depends on how it effects you.. when I do eat breakfast (which isn't very often at all) I'll cook a few (or 8) slices of bacon, put them aside once cooked and then throw some shredded sweet potato in the bacon fat. Season and toss for about 5 minutes, OMG so good.

Sometimes i gorge late at night and wake up feeling off. Bloated and heavy. Sigh, old habits die hard. From now on, no eating after 9pm for me.

Good idea with the water. Most times i mistake physical hunger with physiological hunger. I'm a recovering binge eater.

Fat is very satieting.I find that it's very easy for me to overeat or binge on snack like foods such as nuts and seeds, nut butter and fruits. It's really easy to overeat fruits. Expecially sugary high glycemic ones like watermelon, pineapples, mangos and papayas. So i just dont buy them anymore.

Face first into some Nutella doesn't seem so bad...I have similar eating issues, but I agree - when I upped the coconut oil and butter, the cravings were much more manageable!

I got over snacking by incorporating more fat into my meals. Adding some olive oil, coconut oil, or Kerrygold butter to my meat or veggies helped tremendously.

I am a big emotional eater, so if I find myself grazing, I force myself to evaluate why. Sometimes I am honestly hungry, but most of the time it is emotional and I have to force myself to deal with the emotion, whether its boredom, sadness, anger, etc. It's given me a much healthier mental state, one I thought I would never achieve! (Believe me, I would rather dive face first into some Nutella than deal with emotions and it took a lot for me to figure out how to deal with myself constructively!)

Try snacks that are more filling such as nuts. Try snacks the are hard to get into such as oranges. Try drinking a big glass of water when you're craving a snack.

I've found that the easiest way to avoid snacking is to make sure you are eating enough fat in the morning for breakfast. When I was still a newbie, I'd routinely eat four or five eggs, five slices of bacon and drink coffee with heavy cream in it.

The fat keeps you satiated seemingly forever and food wouldn't even cross my mind for the rest of the day.

Here's a blog article I wrote about this a while back.

Between waking and my first meal, which is usually early afternoon, I consume nothing but espresso, water and heavy cream. Keeping glucose levels stable eliminates cravings.

When I woke up this morning, I was ravenous and in the foulest of foul moods, because I totally overdid it on sugar and snacking yesterday (cheese, dried fruit, fruit, you name it) and I felt so "puffy". I was determined to make today a better day than yesterday, and made myself a BIG mug of bulletproof coffee with a couple tablespoons of butter, a tbsp of coconut oil, and a nice drizzle of gf half & half with some stevia. The extra fat really handled my need to nosh. This afternoon I wanted a snack, but I decided I'd make myself a cup of earl gray tea instead. Lately I've been trying to swap my snacking habit for a cup of tea habit. Here's hoping!
