What are your favorite paleo comfort food?

I'd love to see you qualify it as a new comfort food since going paleo OR an old comfort food that you made paleo.

Looking for some inspiration for the week!!

Zoodles have become a fixture with me. Even my non-Paleo friends agree that my zoodles are better than noodles, so they don't complain when coming over for dinner!

Mine is a smashed banana, an egg, a couple tbsp of vanilla almond butter, some cacao powder and a touch of honey...microwaved for 3 minutes, and then whip up some heavy cream and a few blueberries on top of it.

Normally, I just eat whole foods-- few things hit the spot better than a grilled grass fed steak.

I don't like to do a lot of Paleo fakery (not a fan of "paleo baking", for the most part), it's difficult to get the texture of baked goods correct, plus it tends to get my cravings going, but the two items listed below have become staples in my (pretty strict) diet:

Zoodles (zucchini noodles)-- they actually taste like pasta and they're just zucchini and nothing else. I've had them almost every day this week (recipe found here: www.livefabuLESS.com/zoodles)-- I used them in a stir fry, topped them with pesto, topped them with just garlic and oil.

And, I just discovered how to make paleo "ice cream"-- just whirl frozen bananas with fresh fruit of your choice (I used fresh cherries, as they're in season) and add a splash of either cream (if dairy works for you) or coconut milk-- and whirl in the blender until smooth. OMG-- it's heavenly. Check out the droolworthy picture here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=337678166316070&set=a.167527789997776.43825.167451376672084&type=1&theater

When I roast a whole chicken, the little flap or butt is a tiny nugget of pure luscious fat. If only the rest of the chicken was so amazing.

Before I went paleo my go-to comfort foods were sushi, oranges, or liver and boiled cabbage. My comfort foods now are liver and sauerkraut, potato, and ground beef.

Mashed sweet potato and ghee or coconut milk. Okinawa sweet potato, Korean sweet potato, Garnet sweet potato or even ordinary old Jewel. Give me some nice warm sweet potato and I'm a happy camper.

A side of collards and ham hock or bacon, oh yes.

Pulled pork to go with, I'm in heaven.

Chicken and kale soup. I adore that stuff, and the only Paleo change is to leave out the cannellini beans. (Beans are my main cheat. I really just love them so so so much. I'll take them over cupcakes any day!)

I am addicted to butternut suqash lasagna. A nice hearty beef stew, meatloaf made with organ meat and cauliflower mash. On the sweet side I enjoy a nice paleo chcoloate chip coookie or fudge.
