What does it mean when you crave something to eat but you don't know what it is? Everything you do eat is not what you want. how can you get rid of it? Or what should you eat?

Upon further inspection, that chart is very questionable. Especially since it regards red meat as a craving to do away with and replace with beans and legumes, for example.

I can't fathom why nuts aren't listed under "Craving this:"

Could be emotional eating where you hop from one comfort food to another to maintain that glimpse of happiness.

For me, and many people, a lot of it was to do with emotional eating. Eating sweet foods to 'make it better'.

Some people say that cravings for sweet foods are to do with intake, e.g not enough protein, fat, calories, vegetables. It's all trial and error at first (I am in this stage!) to see what fits you.

Chocolate cravings have been linked to magnesium deficiency, also.

Cravings are typically worse at the start, especially if you've came off SAD (or worse!) and sometimes you just have to 'ride them out'. Distract yourself; talk to a friend, do something fun. Sometimes cravings are just a result of under-stimulation. Like when you eat, just because you're bored.

Sounds like a severe calorie restriction but then again its like paleo fulls satiate hunger very quickly so how do we eat large amounts feel me lol usually when we crave things it means were cuttin calories to low , eat food in abundance just eat the right foods . Never count calories or put a restriction on your calorie intake no matter who preaches to , our ancestors never did that and never would have . That ate to their fill and moved their bodies . Calorie restriction did not exsist anyhow i say eat the right foods in abundance and a calorie deficit will be made naturally without even being aware of it . Gary Taubes speaks of this in his Good Calories Bad Calories book .

This is a good chart of cravings and deficiencies. http://www.betterraw.com/2011/10/what-do-food-cravings-say-about-you.html
